When did your journey with Lyme begin?

The majority of my health challenges started in August of 2010, although I have had more subtle challenges throughout my whole life, which leads me to believe I may have had Lyme all along, and my body was able to cope with it better in my youth.

Was there a turning point in your journey?

Like the flow of life that is constant, I am always experiencing turning points along my journey. I am always moving forward, and constantly making improvements along the way. I truly believe the future always leads to abundance, and therefore, is always improving.

There have been some major turning points along the way which led to drastic changes and improvements in my life and health. One of the most significant turning points thus far in my Journey was going to Seattle, WA to Sophia Health Institute, and having the honor of working with some of the world’s most prestigious healers. I feel like every turning point in my life, and all of the beautiful things that have entered it since then, stem from there.

What are some of your favorite tools for healing?

Some of my favorite tools for healing are on a more energetic and emotional level. I honor the physical level just as much, and I appreciate all of the modalities that support that level (herbs, supplements, etc.), but just like I believe I am so much more than just my body, I feel that healing on these other levels reaches me deeper and feels more meaningful. I have made some of the most powerful transformations by healing spiritually and emotionally. I believe that is where the healing begins.

My favorite tools that are more energetic in nature are the Biomat, Bemer, Tesla Lights, neural therapy, connecting with nature, having fun, living my passions- creating, being surrounded by amazing friends and family, dreaming, and meditation.

Physically, my favorite healing tools are coffee enemas (if you haven’t tried them you don’t know what you’re missing), homeopathy, IV therapy, detox baths, saunas, eating whole, healing and nutrient dense foods, and of course, sleeping.

What’s one thing you wish others knew about living with Lyme Disease?

One thing I wish others knew about living with Lyme Disease is that just because it is misunderstood and can be a complex thing to treat and understand, does not mean that it is incurable. We are surrounded by miracles. We are always becoming smarter, wiser, and stronger as a collective, and more than anything what this should make you realize, is that hope only grows.

People are becoming well, people are reversing their health conditions all the time with labels such as “chronic” or “incurable.” Lyme Disease is no different. Just because it seems on the surface like a rarity to get well, does not mean it is impossible.

Choose wisely where you put your focus. Will it be in the hopeless, dark, void of the known? Or will it be in the light, the hope, the promise of a better future?

Look to the people and healers who have reached a place where you want to be. Intend to meet them there, and ask for guidance along the way. I promise you will be taken on the same journey, as long as you believe.

What’s one thing you wish you could tell individuals who have just been diagnosed?

It is never just one thing.

What has made the strongest impact on Lyme patients getting well, is the understanding that Chronic Lyme is a manifestation of many different factors that are presenting challenges to your body, mind, and spirit. When you explore these potential factors holistically, extensively, and thoroughly- on all levels, you are in the truest state of healing.

Find the causes and heal those, rather than putting your focus on symptoms.

Know that just like all other areas of life, we are constantly learning and reaching higher levels of understanding. The healing path is synchronized with this as well; we learn as we follow.

Become an advocate for yourself. Step into your highest power. Learn how to heal, do research, open your heart and mind to being well.

You are transforming into something even more beautiful.

Lifestyle changes are the most important place to start. If you are living a healthy life to your fullest potential (diet, habits, mindset, etc.) you are setting the stage for healing.

Remember that everything is an opportunity to heal, grow, and create a beautiful life. This is an opportunity also. To heal your life in ways you could never have before imagined. When things feel bad that just means there is a ton of space being created to fill your world with better things- like love, hope, and beauty. There is no such thing as dark; it’s an illusion. It is only a lack of light.

Lastly, my favorite resources along this journey (that led me to finding and living my truth, and led me to healing and a whole bunch of unimaginably beautiful things), are:

What’s been your biggest obstacle in your healing journey?

One of my biggest obstacles in my healing journey (and I think this is the case for many which is why I choose this one) is finances. Over the years at times it has come as quite a challenge to meet my financial needs- mainly when it comes to healthcare. As most patients find, a lot of these investments come out of pocket, and it can be challenging to swing it.

However, I always somehow found a way, and unbelievably so at times. To me this is just a reflection of my determination, which is a powerful thing to discover within yourself. So again, like all of the other “bad or hard” things, there was a special teaching and discovery in this one as well.

Where we are in each moment is not permanent, which is a very powerful thing to realize! It means that you can attract and create opportunities to become in an even better place financially. I understand that it can be quite challenging to believe this when you don’t feel well. But as you start to feel better, it feels even more possible.

I had to start small. I started with just the basics, the most important areas to focus on. I found support externally from my family initially, and then once I started feeling better after treating some major factors that were causing me to feel unwell, I was more strong and more able to support myself. I gradually improved and got really creative and good at finding job opportunities that I could tolerate with the state of health I was in. Eventually it led me to a place where I could do it all on my own, not that we all have to. There are infinite possibilities, there are infinite ways to make it happen, and you will find a way if you believe you can. You just may be shocked at what comes your way ☺ I know I have been time and time again, in the best way possible. And I am so unbelievably grateful. Again, I have cultivated something beautiful from some of the most seemingly negative of circumstances.

Do you have a spiritual practice? How does that help?

Yes, absolutely! Healing is my spiritual practice!

Loving is my spiritual practice. Creating is my spiritual practice. Eating is my spiritual practice. Sleeping is. Nature is. Friendship is. Crying is. Writing is. Anything that brings me joy, hope, peace, awareness and higher understanding, and fills my heart with love, is my spiritual practice.

As mentioned earlier, some of my favorite aspects to spirituality are in healing on a more energetic and emotional layer. I do this mainly through writing, meditation, sleeping and dreaming, connecting with people and nature, solitude, art and music.

The most powerful aspect of my spiritual practice has been introspection (always in addition to interaction). It is my most sacred teacher to be with myself. My favorite way to do this is through meditation, while lying on a soft bed, lying on the earth or up against a tree, or on a bed of amethyst crystals. No I’m not a queen, but it’s still possible! Bet you didn’t think so though! Well, here’s the secret: that’s what the Biomat is!

There is a phrase I created which perfectly reflects my need for balance in my external and internal worlds:

“Immerse, retreat, reflect, repeat.”

What has been your biggest victory in your healing journey, and how did you overcome that obstacle?

My biggest victory in my healing journey is making it to the place I’m in right now, where I’m gradually feeling better and better. And I’m more than happy to be right where I am, even though there is still room for improvement, which I know is always right around the corner. Everything I have written so far in this interview is my greatest victory. And coming into this place where I’m able to share this all is my greatest victory.

My biggest victory in my healing journey has been gaining the insight and ability to inspire, teach, and heal others.

Just like you.

What are your hopes and dreams for your future?

My hopes and dreams for the future…

To continue on this beautiful path.
To continue teaching, inspiring, and healing others. To spread hope.
To continue to heal in my own life. To continue to create a beautiful life.
To continue to experience adventure, to travel, to be filled with more and more and more love.
To continue to show the world how much love I have for it and everything that inhabits it.

What are some of the things you have learned as part of this experience?

Everything I have written is everything I have learned, and so much more.

And at the top of it all:

How incredibly blessed we all are to be here, experiencing this beautiful life.
And to be experiencing it together.
