Sometimes, the hardest person to forgive is yourself. One of my biggest, and most challenging, lessons is to offer myself the same kindness that I offer others. Be kind to others, but also be kind to you. Forgive yourself for your mistakes, your shortcomings and your imperfections. I’m in the process of learning that when you offer yourself love, it’s a lot easier for others to love you too.

When you come up short or make a mistake, instead of looking at it as a failure, perhaps be proud of your progress and look at is another rung in the ladder that you’re building, the ladder leading you to the higher ground in which you’ve always hoped to be.
